Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France, France in 2006, Canna (Balisier) ‘Oberon’ is a Miniature Group cultivar; green foliage, small, oval shaped, acute apex, branching habit; oval main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; spikes of flowers are cupped, self-coloured light orange, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, labellum is yellow with orange markings, stamen is gold, style is tangerine-orange, petals red with farina, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is average.

Canna ‘Oberon’ is available from specialist growers; breeding is C. Savenieres x C. Frøken.
