Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France, France in 2003, Canna (Balisier) ‘Elfin’ is a medium sized Foliage Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, spreading habit; round main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; spikes of flowers are erect, salmon-red and peach, throat pale yellow, staminodes are narrow, edges regular, petals yellow, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is prolific.
