Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France, France in 2006, Canna (Balisier) ‘Karla Dalebø’ is a medium sized Premier Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, transparent margin, branching habit; oval main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are open, scarlet with a gold margin, throat scarlet rayed with gold, staminodes are medium size, edges frilled, stamen is gold with a scarlet margin, style is gold, petals yellow, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and purple; tillering is average.
