Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France, France in 2023, Canna (Balisier) ‘Gold Cup’ is a small Premier Group cultivar; mid green foliage, oblong shaped, acute apex, branching habit; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; clusters of flowers are cupped, self-coloured gold, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertility unknown; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is good.
