The old-timers told me that Ehammani was sterile, both seed and pollen. Every time I found a few grains of pollen, I spread it on the nearest new flowering plant, and after several years eventually obtained one seed. No seedling in history has ever been spoilt like this one, and the resultant variety has been a pleasant surprise, both a beauty and shaped like a bell.Thor Dalebø
