Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France, France in 2008, Canna (Balisier) ‘Amazement’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, branching habit; oval main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; spikes of flowers are cupped, self-coloured cadmium-orange, staminodes are medium size, edges serrated, petals red, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is prolific.

Canna ‘Amazement’ is available from specialist growers; breeding is Canna ‘Admiral Aurellan’ x Canna ‘Ombersley’.
