Introduced by Antoine Wintzer of The Conard & Jones Co., West Grove, Pennsylvania, USA in 1915, Canna (Balisier) ‘Wyoming’ is a tall Italian Group cultivar; bronze foliage, elliptical shaped, spreading habit; oval main stems, coloured purple; flowers are open, self-coloured orange, staminodes are large, good bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; seed is sterile, pollen is low fertile; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured purple; tillering is prolific.
