Introduced by Ernest Turc Nursery, Angers, France in 2002, Canna (Balisier) ‘Savennières’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; bronze foliage, oval shaped, maroon margin, branching habit; flowers are erect, self-coloured orange, staminodes are narrow, fully self-cleaning, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter.
