Introduced by Ernest Turc Nursery, Angers, France in 2001, Canna (Balisier) ‘La Source’ is a small Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, ovoid shaped, branching habit; round main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; flowers are open, self-coloured yellow, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, petals yellow, fully self-cleaning, low bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is slow.
