Introduced by Keith Hayward, UK National Canna Collection Holder, England in 2022, Canna (Balisier) ‘Marlena’ is a medium sized Premier Group cultivar; mid green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, branching habit; clusters of flowers are open, peach with light-cream stripes, staminodes are large, edges regular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; seed is sterile, pollen is low fertile; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is good.
