Canna (Balisier) ‘indica f. Henlade Red’ is a medium sized species; mid green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, branching habit; triangular main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; clusters of flowers are open, red with a yellow blush, staminodes are medium size, edges irregular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in late summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and purple; tillering is good.
