Introduced by Sydney Percy-Lancaster, Alipore Cannas, India, Canna (Balisier) ‘Bridal Veil’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; purple foliage, elliptical shaped, branching habit; flowers are open, self-coloured white, staminodes are narrow, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules round; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is average.
