Introduced by Sydney Percy-Lancaster, Alipore Cannas, India, Canna (Balisier) ‘Aileen’ is a small Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, elliptical shaped, upright habit; clusters of flowers are open, yellow with yellow-orange spots, staminodes are narrow, edges regular, good bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type; rhizomes are long and thin, coloured white and pink; tillering is average.
