Introduced by Wilhelm Pfitzer Nursery, Germany, Canna (Balisier) ‘Reichskanzler Fürst Hohenlohe’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; mid green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, branching habit; clusters of flowers are open, self-coloured pale yellow, staminodes are medium size, labellum is pale yellow speckled with orange-red, stamen is gold, style is gold, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in late summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is slow.
