Introduced by Vilmorin-Andrieux et Cie, Nurserymen, France in 1911, Canna (Balisier) ‘Oriental’ is a tall Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, spreading habit; oval main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are open, yellow with red spots, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose.
