Introduced by Bernard Yorke, Australia, Canna (Balisier) ‘Jezabel’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; mid green foliage, elliptical shaped, acute apex, spreading habit; clusters of flowers are open, pale yellow heavily spotted with vermilion, staminodes are large, edges regular, labellum is pale yellow streaked with vermilion, petals red, fully self-cleaning, low bloomer, flowers in late summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is slow.
