Canna (Balisier) ‘indica f. Variabilis’ is a medium sized species; green foliage, oval shaped; oval main stems, coloured green; triangular flower stalks, coloured green; flowers are erect, self-coloured red, staminodes are long and narrow, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, self-pollinating and also true to type; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is prolific.

Canna ‘indica f. Variabilis’ is available from specialist growers.
