Canna (Balisier) ‘indica f. Society Belle’ is a tall species; dark green foliage, elliptical shaped, acute apex, spreading habit; oval main stems, coloured green; round flower stalks, coloured green; spikes of flowers are erect, self-coloured orange, staminodes are long and narrow, edges irregular, partial self-cleaning, good bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, self-pollinating and also true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 7 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is average.

Canna ‘indica f. Society Belle’was awarded RHS Award of Garden Merit, 2002; is available from specialist growers.
