Canna (Balisier) ‘indica f. orange’ is a medium sized species; green foliage, oval shaped, spreading habit; triangular main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are erect, self-coloured orange, staminodes are long and narrow, edges regular, petals purple, fully self-cleaning, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, self-pollinating and also true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and purple; tillering is prolific.
