Introduced by Marcelle Sheppard Nursery, Texas, USA, Canna (Balisier) ‘Heart Throb’ is a small Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage; round main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are open, crimson with a gold margin, staminodes are narrow, edges irregular, petals red, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not known if true to type, not self-pollinating, capsules round.
