Introduced by Green Works International BV, Canna (Balisier) ‘Happy Isabel’ is a small; dark green foliage, broadly ovoid shaped, acute apex, green margin, branching habit; clusters of flowers are open, self-coloured salmon, throat salmon and yellow-orange, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, stamen is yellow-orange and salmon, style is pale yellow with salmon blotches, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, true to type, not self-pollinating, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and purple; tillering is good.
