Introduced by Bernard Yorke, Australia, Canna (Balisier) ‘Giselle’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; mid green foliage, elliptical shaped, acute apex, branching habit; clusters of flowers are cupped, canary-yellow with light orange spots, staminodes are medium size, edges ruffled, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is good.
