Introduced by Bernard Yorke, Australia, Canna (Balisier) ‘Copicana’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; mid green foliage, elliptical shaped, acute apex, branching habit; spikes of flowers are open, self-coloured cadmium-orange, throat primrose-yellow, staminodes are narrow, edges regular, petals red, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is good.

Canna ‘Copicana’ is available from specialist growers.
