Introduced by Quality Gladiolus Gardens, Arkansas, USA, Canna (Balisier) ‘Apricot Dream’ is a small Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, white margin, spreading habit; round main stems, coloured green and purple; flowers are open, apricot and salmon, staminodes are medium size, edges lightly frilled, stamen is saffron-yellow, petals purple with farina, fully self-cleaning, low bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is prolific.
