Canna (Balisier) ‘Niagara’ is a small Crozy Group cultivar; mid green foliage, elliptical shaped, acute apex, branching habit; clusters of flowers are open, crimson with a wide gold margin, staminodes are medium size, edges irregular, petals red, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in late summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is slow.
