Introduced by Raphaël Roger, Belgium in 2006, Canna (Balisier) ‘La Thudinie’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, spreading habit; round main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are open, orange-red with a yellow margin, staminodes are large, edges irregular, labellum is orange-red with yellow centre, style is yellow, petals red with farina, good bloomer, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and purple.
