Canna (Balisier) ‘indica f. Brasiliensis’ is a small species; green foliage, ovoid shaped, spreading habit; triangular main stems, coloured green; spikes of flowers are erect, yellow and scarlet, staminodes are long and narrow, edges regular, fully self-cleaning, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, self-pollinating and also true to type, capsules oblong; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is prolific.
