Introduced by Raelene Cowan of Canpelkni Blooms, Victoria, Australia, Canna (Balisier) ‘Ebpapei’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; mid green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, spreading habit; spikes of flowers are open, self-coloured canary-yellow, staminodes are medium and long, edges regular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in late summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is good.
