Introduced by Vilmorin-Andrieux et Cie, Nurserymen, France, Canna (Balisier) ‘Abricôte’ is a medium sized Crozy Group cultivar; purple foliage, branching habit; clusters of flowers are open, apricot-orange with an orange blush, throat orange-red, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, labellum is apricot-orange streaked with orange, petals red, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type.
