Introduced by L., Sweden, Canna (Balisier) ‘indica f. China Orange’ is a tall species; mid green foliage, elliptical shaped, acute apex, branching habit; spikes of flowers are erect, self-coloured orange, staminodes are long and narrow, edges regular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, low bloomer, flowers in early autumn until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, self-pollinating and also true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 7 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is good.
