Introduced by Takii & Co., Japan., Japan, Canna (Balisier) ‘Cannova Yellow’ is a small Miniature Group cultivar; mid green foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, branching habit; clusters of flowers are open, self-coloured yellow, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, true to type, not self-pollinating, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is good.
